Competition events for August 24
August 24—Is the sixteenth and final day of the 2008 Summer Games. The Closing Ceremonies promise to have a great deal of entertainment featuring about 7,000 cast members. The final 12 medals will be handed out. Competition events being held include: Athletics Final, Basketball Final, Boxing Final, Gymnastics (Rhythmic) Final, Handball Final, Water Polo Final, and Volleyball Final.
