North Carolina will miss the dance and it was upset central in the Big East Tournament.

Olympics, College Basketball & the NFL

Saturday on Sports Spectrum we visit with Sheila Taormina a former member of the U. S. Olympic team. Sheila competed in four different Summer Olympic Games in three different sports. She is one of the more amazing athletes in U. S. history.

Sunday the field of 65 will be announced for the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. We discuss college basketball and other issues with long time sportscaster Ron Thulin. Ron has called games for ESPN, TNT and Fox Sports.

The NFL draft will be here soon. We catch up on the top stories of the draft in a visit with a former NFL team General Manager, Phil Savage.

We also discuss the unpredictability of sports and life with Sports Spectrum chaplain Bill Crowder. And, former NASCAR chaplain Ron Pegram will be along to share his perspective on the use of “payback” in NASCAR. It was applied on the track in Atlanta last weekend.

It’s sports, real-life issues and faith—listen for it on Sports Spectrum Saturday.
