Team USA Wraps up Competition on London

Kevin Durant had 30 points as the U-S Men’s basketball team won Olympic gold on Sunday.  Team USA pulled away in the end for a hard fought 107-100 win against Spain for their second straight Olympic title.

USA faces South Africa’s ‘Blade Runner’

Drama surrounds the men’s 4 X 400 M relay race.   The final features the American squad facing South Africa and the man known as ‘Blade Runner’, double-amputee, Oscar Pistorius.  South Africa won its appeal in the preliminaries, and the result is Pistorius racing 3rd in the relay.

A Busy Day13 in London

Another big day underway in London.  At Olympic Stadium, it’s the men’s 200 featuring American Wallace Spearman and Jamaica’s Usain Bolt.  The men’s decathlon continues as Americans Ashton Eaton and Trey Hardee try and give the U-S a 1-2 finish.  The U-S Women’s soccer and water polo teams meanwhile go for Olympic gold today.
