Bonnie BeMent

Bonnie was born in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in Lombard, Illinois – a western suburb of Chicago. At age five she accepted Jesus as her Savior during a children’s Bible club that her mom taught. When she was 12 years old, Bonnie dedicated her life to serving the Lord.

Bonnie attended Moody Bible Institute as a Communications Major, graduating in 1982. She attended Northern Illinois University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, TV and Film in 1984. At that time Moody was only a three year school and did not offer a full degree program in Communications.

After serving two summers as an intern at KHCB-FM in Houston, Texas, Bonnie was hired full time after graduation from Northern Illinois in 1984. She began as an announcer/producer and then became the Music Director and News/Sports Director. In addition to these responsibilities she now serves as the Assistant General Manager and afternoon drive-time host. She has been with the KHCB Radio Network, which now has 25 outlets in Texas and Louisiana, for the past 26 years.
